He graduated from Fordham University summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science. He received his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School with honors and wrote his law school thesis on the newly emerging Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs) at Harvard and elsewhere.
Christopher spent seven years as an international litigation and intellectual property attorney at major New York City Law firms, including Kramer Levin and Barrett Smith, before forming his own boutique law firm in Manhattan. At his firm, Mr. Meatto led the international and intellectual property protection of the Swiss watch industry and participated on the business and legal team that introduced Swatch watches into the United States in the 1980s.
Throughout the 1990s Mr. Meatto practiced as both an attorney and consultant to international and domestic clients and law firms. Utilizing his litigation skills and knowledge of international law, Mr. Meatto handled several high profile multi-national child abduction including a case for a high profile Goldman Sachs executive. For the last decade, Mr. Meatto has focused primarily on acting as a legal and business consultant to technology entrepreneurs and investors. This passion for innovation, venture capital, and startups led to him accepting a full time role at Fruit Street Health as general counsel and CFO.
He has three Ivy League sons who graduated from Harvard, Yale and Brown. Mr. Meatto graduated Regis High School in Manhattan and majored in Classics (Greek and Latin).
